Managing Notifications and Activity Schedule

Setting Up Your Notifications and Activity Schedule

Reminders are a friendly tap on the shoulder: a little nudge to play a minute of Wakeout when it is a good moment for it. You decide when they can show up and how many you would like, and you can turn them off at any time.

Where to find them

On the Now tab, tap the person icon in the top right to open Settings, then tap Reminders.

Your active hours

Set Start active day and End active day to the hours you are happy to hear from us. Reminders only arrive inside this window, never while you sleep.

Your Wakeout days

Under My Wakeout Days, pick the days of the week you want reminders. Any day you leave out is a day off: no reminders and nothing to do.

How many reminders

Choose what feels right under Notification frequency:

  • Enhanced: between 10 and 18 reminders a day.

  • Normal: between 6 and 10.

  • Limited: between 2 and 6, only at the essential times.

  • Off: no reminders.

Wakeout learns from your habits and tries to pick moments when you are most likely to enjoy a break. You get fewer reminders on days when you have already been moving a lot.

Make them sound like you

Your Move Coach sets the style of the messages. You can switch coaches any time in Settings under Move Coach.

Other notifications

The Daily Challenge and the Wiggle Timer send their own notifications. You can manage them from iOS Settings > Notifications > Wakeout, or pause everything for a while with Take a day off (see "Taking Days Off").

Turning reminders off

Go to Settings > Reminders and set Notification frequency to Off. You can turn them back on whenever you like, and the rest of Wakeout works exactly the same.

Not seeing reminders?

Check that notifications are allowed for Wakeout in iOS Settings > Notifications > Wakeout, and that the current time falls inside your active hours and on one of your Wakeout days. Still stuck? Tap Get Help Now in Settings and message us. Our support team is available Monday to Friday.
